Community Project: Classroom Makeovers

Over the past year our Berry Queen organization has taken up the important cause of blessing deserving Iberia Parish teachers and their students with much needed classroom makeovers.  

So far we have completed makeovers for Mrs. Landry's 1st grade classroom at St. Charles Elementary in Jeanerette, Ms. Cooper's 5th grade classroom at Magnolia Elementary in New Iberia, and Mrs. Gonsoulin's FACS class at Westgate High School, also in New Iberia.

With a budget of $3,000 we were able to provide furniture and supplies, including flexible seating, teacher chairs, bookshelves, earbuds for students, as well as many other items that help both teacher and student.  

Our team of "Berry Fairies" worked hard planning, organizing, and decorating each classroom before presenting it to the deserving teacher and their students.
